Why fundraise?

We raise funds because the seed money donated by Mercy and her family can only sustain the activities of the Foundation for a limited time. We can only succeed in achieving our mission by raising funds each year to make this project sustainable. This means offering our services in more parts of the world and saving more lives.

Our fundraising department is available to provide support and advice.

Tips for a successful fundraising event:

  • Plan in advance. Have firm dates for your events or activities.
  • Have a game plan: what you intend to do and how.
  • Contact us early with your ideas so that we can work together and prepare support materials.
  • Get all the help you need from family and friends. Teamwork gets results.
  • Plan. Plan. Then execute.

You can help us raise funds by hosting a fundraising event: Invite friends and well-wishers at home or in a private hall to an event to raise funds for healthy hearts.

You could raise funds by hosting:

  • a private dinner,
  • a fashion show,
  • a fancy dress party

… your imagination is your only limit. Let us know what you’ll like to do.

Sporting events can help you to keep fit and raise funds at the same time.

  • Want to participate in a marathon in your city?
  • Want to take part in an annual bike ride around town?

Through these and similar activities, you can raise funds by having friends and relatives to sponsor your efforts and promote Healthy Hearts through the MaHeart Foundation.

  • Spread the word at your workplace or in your neighbourhoods about the Foundation to raise funds.
  • We’ll provide you an authorization letter and printed material to give you all the credibility you need.

Corporations are generous givers for a worthy cause such as ours. Does your company have a strong giving tradition? Do you know of other foundations that fund foundations such as ours? Do you know of any organization that may partner with us in providing services on the ground in various parts of the world? If so, you put us in touch with the key contacts so that we can submit a formal request.
